»Forests. From the Romantic to the Future«
Museum Sinclair-Haus in Bad Homburg
March 16 – August 11, 2024
In the exhibition "Forests", Thomas Wrede presents new photographs taken in the forest fire areas of Brandenburg. The exhibition spans the period from the Romantic era to the present and the future. By focusing on the beauty of the forest and seeking access to the living world through feeling and sensuality, Romanticism redesigned the relationship between man and nature. This Romantic way of thinking in terms of interrelationships and interactions is groundbreaking for today's discussions about relationships with nature - also and especially against the background of current ecological challenges. In Frankfurt, the exhibition will take place at 2 other locations: Deutsches Romantik Museum and Senkenberg Naturmuseum.
