Why do certain images imprint themselves and keep us interested? In his INSTANT PANOPTIKUM, Stefan à Wengen uses the vitrine-like spatiality of ZERO FOLD for a representative section of his œuvre, quasi "en miniature", and provides the viewer with an immediate overview not only of his own work, but supposedly of the "whole world" – in reminiscence of a traditional chamber of curiosities that gathers natural and cultural set pieces from all continents.

In addition to two sculptural "Obstacles" and a colored canvas, the Swiss artist shows a larger selection of his small-format ongoing series "Detected Dictionary", which he has been creating since 2014 in an almost daily ritual sitting at the studio table.
